I figure its time to get some documentation about AmigaDOS. There are a bunch of different books out these days, is there some common wisdom about which are best? My primary need is accurate, complete information, rather that good handholding or trenchant prose. Thanks! /Bernie\ ps, along that vein, do any of those books describe what the "Info" subsystem is all about and how it relates to the WorkBench, various tools, and stuff like that? There's a bunch of really mysterious (to me at least) doings in the area of "tool types", the "add" and "delete" gadgets, and such. I suspect that my problem with getting the Trashcan to work has somethig to do with brokenness in the Trashcan "info" file, (e.g., it clearly says "deletable", and sure enough I was able to delete my Trashcan. The manual, though, claims that Trashcans AINT supposed to be deleteable.... so I presume taht I can tweak the "deletable" guy and get 'permanent' trashcans.
