Do there exist any other Amiga digitizers besides DigiView and Amiga-Live (which I guess doesn't *really* exist yet...) I don't want to buy DigiView because it is incapable of digitizing color from an arbitrary video source; you can't digitize color off of a VCR, only B&W. And I can't use Amiga-Live because it doesn't have a bus pass-through - I have a Xebec hard disk, which ALSO doesn't have a bus pass-through. And I can't really live with powering down every time I want to digitize... Any alternatives? Jamie (jwz@spice.cs.cmu.edu)

In response to the original message... The AmigaLive is actually being shipped and cost $295. (Go Amigo) The newest version of DigiView (2.0) can indeed digitize from an arbitrary(sp?) source, such as a color video camera. It takes approximately 20 secs to gen- erate such an image, and the quality is pretty decent. The Live! (From GRAB Inc, [Formally A squared systems...}) can digitize 4 HAM mode pics per SECOND! With other resolutions and color formats the digitizing rate increases... So... Hope this little bit helps... -El Gato p.s. I'm using a MAC SE to do this on... CHINTZY Keyboard!!!
