I'll keep this short and sweet, since it could be construed as being self-gratuitous.... The first time I saw an Amiga was 2 1/2 years ago, at a dealer's demo. I saw the Boing demo, Robo City, etc., etc.. It would guru occasionally, but I thought "Gee, this thing has so much potential." I ruled out buying one, being a poor liberal arts major. The amount of money seemed astronomical. Plus, I remained a skeptic, because I knew that potential isn't everything. It takes marketing, software support, a "percieved uniqueness" to set it apart from a myriad of of other personal computers on the market. Now, 2 1/2 years later, I have an Amiga 2000 in my house. I want to thank everyone who has or is doing their bit to make the amiga what it is. This includes the Los Gatos group, for the initial vision and implementation of a dream, the Commodore people, for taking a "dream machine" and making it a marketable reality, the freeware and shareware people who have given us a source of truly neat and useful stuff, the netpeople for being reasonable and helpful when I needed it, and Leo, for reminding us that a computer would be just an expensive box if not for human imagination and humor.
