I'm trying to find out if there is any good astronomical software available for the Amiga, either commercial or public domain. Specifically, my astronomy club is thinking of putting an Amiga 1000 in a local observatory they run. We would like to use it for sky catalogs and possibly even for control of our 16" telescope. I know of software of this nature available for the IBM PC, but unfortunately we have access only to an Amiga 1000 (the 2000s are the ones with more potential for IBM-compatability, for you non- Amigans). I'd also be interested to find out if any other astronomical organizations are using the Amiga for this sort of thing. Please respond via e-mail. -- Mike Berman Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, MD 21218 UUCP: {arizona,decvax,hao,ihnp4}!noao!stsci!berman ARPA: berman@stsci.edu SPAN: {SCIVAX,KEPLER}::BERMAN

Seems your machine is sticking random "un"s in your mail files. -mike schwager -- {ihnp4,convex,pur-ee}!uiucdcs!schwager schwager%uiuc@csnet-relay.arpa University of Illinois, Dept. of Computer Science "Fortunately, I have an Amiga"
