SIGGRAPH Accomodation I am from the Boston area (Newton) so I can give you some pointers on accomodations. City square is in Charlestown where stands the famed Bunker Hill Monument. It is < 1 mi from the downtown area. From here you take a short (2-3 mi) trolley ride to The auditorium. I'm not sure what the area is like here and owing to my own preferences I would prefer to check into the Newton 'Y' (which is the only one I am familiar with). Newton is a suburb of of Boston. The 'Y' is within walking distance of a bus stop where you can get a ride into the city. Newton is 6-8 miles from the Auditorium although transit connections might lengthen this distance somewhat. Newton will be a little quieter and more suburban than Charlestown although it is not quite so close. I don't know where exactly the Bus leaves you so I couldn't say which place would be more convenient.
