We hard disk owners have a serious problem - backing up our data onto
floppies. I've tried building and running MRBackUp. It looks good and
seems to have all the features I'd want but it doesn't work (at least
for me). Seems like 50% of the time it misformats the floppy and I get
I/O errors. Even if I preformat the floppy it reformats it wrong! When
it doesn't get I/O errors it gurus inexplicably anyway. And it won't
accept alternate listing file names as advertised (I don't have a
printer). :-| Was there a subsequent posting to the original version
that I missed? Is anyone else having problems with it?
Since my drive is springing up with new bad blocks these days this is a
burning issue for me.
Is anyone else getting lots of bad blocks on their MiniScribe drives?
Maybe 1/2 height Winchester technology isn't wrung out well enough yet.
