wacka.....wacka.....wacka.....wacka.....(< First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who answered my many questions. Especially thanks Joe Piazza for sending me FixObj, and thanks Bill Thacker for volunteering a slew of stuff. Moving on: The author of Dirmaster (his name slips my mind right now) has done a wonderfull job. Dirmaster does everything you might want to do with your directories.... except the most important thing to me. You can't print out your entire collection. You can print the names of all your disks; You can print the entire contents of any single disk; But you can't print the entire contents of ALL your disks. I want to have a paper master catalog of my disks. The Dirmaster database format is easy to understand if you look at it, so it wouldn't be too hard to write a program that prints out the database. (Not trivial though, because the file is unsorted. You would have to write a multi-level sort) But I wish this capability was built into the program. I'd like the author to add that feature to Dirmaster. If there's enough demand, I could be persuaded to write a MasterPrint program; but the "right way" to do it is to have it included in Dirmaster. -Pete Peter Theobald SUNY/Buffalo Computer Science csnet: ugpete@buffalo.CSNET uucp: ..!{nike|watmath,alegra,decvax}!sunybcs!ugpete BITNET: ugpete@sunybcs.BITNET
