A consequence of the problems at decvax that Armando mentioned is that the Ontario USENET sites have lost about a week's news and incoming mail. The news loss is probably not too serious, but people who sent mail to an Ontario site (utzoo, watmath, or points beyond) between roughly the 19th and the 27th should be aware that it probably didn't get delivered.
