[comp.sys.amiga] Multiuser vs Single user

cmcmanis@sun.uucp (Chuck McManis) (11/18/87)

One of the uses for psuedo multiuser is the distinction between 'remote'
users and the local user. As systems become networked it becomes more
desirable to let others access some of your machine but not all of it.
Thus having at least this distinction is useful. It also would help the
BBS crowd out for the same reason since they often share their machine
with people calling in but like to protect themselves from malicious
callers.

These opinions are my own and no one elses. But you knew that, didn't you.
