Local repair people say that the insides would crack if the supply was
dropped.  No problems as long as it was only used (and not abused).
Don't smother *any* of the supplies in carpet and you'll be just fine.

All in all, it's not a big deal.

The old A500 power supply "bricks" weighed as such.  *heavy*  The new ones
weigh quite a bit less.  Wild guess at the wieght of the new ones: less than
2 lb.
An A500 with serial CA1005800 was observed to have a lightweight
supply.

They may never have had the problem.
