I have this friend who makes a product that uses a network of IBM clone machines. He would like to start adding Amigas to the setup, for reasons we all know well (eventually, use Amigas exclusively, but first a gradual introduction). Problem is that the network hardware is for PClones, and the software is also for PClones (though some of it, at least, will have to be ported). The A2000 has the bridgeboard, so it seems like it should be possible to access the network card and maybe run the PC code with minor modifications on the bridge card. My question is, what sort of interface is provided for the Amiga to get at hardware on the PC bus and communicate with software running on the bridge card (from C on the Amiga)? Is there detailed documentation available on this? How do I get it? Can I do this at all? Thanks, as always, for your time. derek Derek Zahn @ Wisconsin USENET: ...!{allegra,heurikon,ihnp4,seismo,ucbvax}!uwvax!derek BITNET: derek at wiscvm ARPA INTERNET: derek@cs.wisc.edu "It's much much much too hot in here."
