I was interested in upgrading from my 1000 to a 2000. Frankly, I like my 1000 box just fine but I *really* want the expandibility which it seems will be much more readily available for the 2000. Specifically, I want to get a hard disk (preferably 40 Meg or larger) plus memory expansion, and it looks like this is going to much easier with a 2000. However...I checked with local dealers and all they could tell me was that they still don't have 2000's in to supply to all the people who gave them deposits in OCTOBER for the upgrade. Since I will be moving out of the area in a month or so as well, I don't have any desire to leave a deposit with them for something that won't arrive for a long long time. So: Is Commodore going to extend the time on the upgrade deal further? Sorry if I'm asking a question which I'd bet has already made the rounds before, but I missed it if it went around already. Thanks in advance, Mark p.s. Although replies by mail might be more appropriate here, I'm not convinced that mail gets reliably to this machine; nor do I know of a proper path to get back to this machine (I do know that the return address which comes up in the header doesn't work for some people), so please just post any answers on the net. Thanks.
