[comp.sys.amiga] VideoScape3D database of space shuttle

keithw@amcc.UUCP (da staff) (11/24/87)

How many people out there want a VideoScape3D(tm) geometry file of
the space shuttle? A version of the outline data for a Apollo 3D workstation
was posted in comp.graphics about a week ago. I converted it into
V3D format and am willing to post it if enough people want it. If not enough
people reply, I will email the file to whoever I can reach on UUCP.

The geometry file is about 1000 lines and is all the same color
(white). The shuttle geometries are some what crude so dont expect too
much from this.

NOTE: All the polygons in the file are listed twice. This was to meet
the requirement of VS3D that all vertices be listed in clockwise order.
Since I do not have time to figure out an algorithum to detect which
order the vertices were listed in, I listed each polygon twice, once in
the order listed and once in the reverse order. The net effece is that
there are too many polygons, BUT it looks better that if I only listed
the forward or reverse polygons.

I'd like to get your shuttle/Videoscape file.
