This a warning to anybody that buys Gee Bee Air Rally from Activision.
Yes, another piece of brain damage from Activision! But in all fairness
they are getting better at it. At least the game will run from workbench and
return! It also runs with extended memory, and on the A2000 (Firepower won't).
A friend of mine that recently purchased an A500 bought Air Rally. He
played it a few days, and bye bye game. The game comes without write protection
and writes the high score on the copyrighted game disk. It grinds horribly, ala
Activision protection, do not be alarmed! (Unless your head flys off 8^)).
The solution is first to enable write protection. Second, create a
formatted disk labeled "HiScore". Then create a directory called "HiScore".
My friend is getting hell from his very young son who can't understand
why he can't play his favorite game.
Hope this saves some grief and disappointment!
