I have started something new in the way of Hard Disk management. For those who fear using Disk Doctor on their hard disk, take a look at Fill Disk by FNF on one of the Fish Disks. It writes a file to the disk until the disk is full. This means that Disk Doctor will no longer recover bits and pieces of deleted files. I had a directory loop in my Commodities directory the other day. I ran Fill Disk until all free blocks were filled. I deleted the file it created, made a new file of the same name so that will wouldn't return, and then I ran disk doctor. 15 minutes later... I had a working hard disk... or more to the point, I had a validating hard disk, and when that was done (20 minutes later), Then I had a working hard disk. Just a word of advice. Maybe I should send it in and get my AmigaWorld Tee Shirt. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Randy Spencer P.O.
