Hi,
i'm an A1000 owner thats been trying to expand my amiga for a long time.
I have an A1000(1 drive), 1080, and Starboard 2 with 2 Megs of ram.
I do a lot of programming(graphics) so I would like a hard drive.
I have been looking over the ads but haven't seen anything really great.
(DMA, cheep, fast,...)
My Brother is about to get a computer to control his midi equipment, play
games, and program. He doesn't want to spend much and was deciding between the
mac(which he used at college) or an amiga(which I have convinced him to go with
). He most likely would buy the A500.
The original plan was:
for me to buy one of the hard-disks for the A1000(can't wait much longer)
My brother to buy the A500.
A dealer by me suggested:
I do the 2000 trade-in-buy-back($1200) and give my brother the A1000
then buy what I need for the 2000 since their is more, better, and less
expensive hardware available for the 2000.
One problem is :
I don't want to leave my brother with a machine that wouldn't be
expandable(in the future if he decides to expand).
Which one do you people recommend?? why???
How much would each way cost me and him total???
