(to those who know at cbm) I am considering the upgrade to an Amiga 2000, which will probably replace the AT clone I now have - I will keep the 1000. So, on to the hardware questions: - I kinda like the resolution for characters of an EGA card on the NEC Multisync I now own. Is it possible to get such resolution with the current display hardware, or will the new display chips address this issue? Is any special cable needed for an Amiga<->Multisync connection? - What is the story with pricing and availability with the Bridgecard, in whatever form (8088, 80286)? The MicroAge dealer here is unsure... How does the B.C. use the 3.5 in floppies or an Amiga-side hard disk for its DOS files? - The new display chips (I forget what Denise and Agnes map into in terms of functionality) to be available next year - would someone comment on the expected features of these chips? - Any word on anticipated pricing or availability of the 68020 board? thanks for your time! (i really like a machine that can "walk and chew gum at the same time" :^) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Biggers Siemens Research & Technology Laboratories 105 College Road East Princeton, NJ 08540 (609) 734-3325 UUCP: {almost anywhere}!princeton!siemens!biggers ARPA: biggers%siemens@princeton.edu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
