Well, I just got some of the BADGE Killer Demos (god Leo I love you), and was impressed. One thing that didn't impress me, however, was the level of sophistication (or lack thereof) of the displayer programs for the animated demos. Showanim somtimes leaves the screen jumping after it exits; it looks almost as though the display is interlaced, even though it is not. I've seen this glitch on my 500 and on a dealer's stock 2000 floor model. Anyway, a glitch is a glitch, and you can't complain at that price, but movie is ridiculous! Demos that require movie to play them are totally unacceptable for use in actual point-of-sale demos. For crying out loud, the damn thing crashes if you bring the workbench screen to the front while it's running! I was really impressed with Kahnankas, but when I showed it to my dealer he discovered this ridiculous bug. He won't touch it. The last thing a dealer needs is a demo that can crash from two keystrokes. No kidding, Eric, movie is amazing. I still don't know how you do it, but please, can't you do it in a way that's more cooperative with the system it's running under? Be seeing you... --Lang Zerner langz@athena.mit.edu ihnp4!mit-eddie!athena.mit.edu!langz "To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must first be stupid enough to want it." --G.K.
