I need a spoiler for Dark Castle. In the fireball section, The one with the waterfall, how do you make it over the waterfall and onto the land by the mutant? Also, I really like the graphix, sound and some of the play of this game, etc. I really hate some of the design, though. The game is filled with endless disk swapping, and waiting, at least with a one disk system, it is. And I'm really tired of the dungeon level, too. Is the Mac version like this? --j -- jon wesener ... {seismo | harvard | ihnp4} ! {uwvax | cs.wisc.edu} ! astroatc!jojo hating tomorrow's advertising, today.

You boot off the first, read in the program and then it asks you for the second. Once the second is in, it doesn't ever swap back to the first. You can also copy it to hard disk (no copy protection). It's been a while since I've played it but you grow real tired of the dugeon rooms. Does the amiga version have a pause or save game? The Mac version doesn't. There is a second version of the game called Beyond Dark Castle (I think) coming RSN for the Mac. Multiple screen rooms and color for the Mac II are the only things I remember. SPOILER ALERT > I need a spoiler for Dark Castle. In the fireball section, >The one with the waterfall, how do you make it over the waterfall >and onto the land by the mutant? You want to start at the back of the platform. As you approach the waterfall throw a rock to kill the mutant. Then one step forward and jump to the ledge. Run through the ledge and into the next room. Takes some pratice. The next room is a challenge (:-)). > >--j >-- >jon wesener Jerry Whitnell Lizzi Borden took an axe Communication Solutions, Inc. And plunged it deep into the VAX; Don't you envy people who Do all the things You want to do?

Great game if you have a spare keyboard to hammer on. I don't recall having to do a lot of waiting for anything, either. I never did get the hang of the game, though. Never got past the rats or birds. Needless to say, I used someone else's keyboard!
