Hi,
I have been wanting to purchase an Amiga for some time. Being of
limited funds I jumped at the opportunity to buy an A1000 that
was traded in for an A2000; it was significantly reduced in price.
I will start reading this news group, but have not read it in the past.
I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS:
1) I am somewhat worried about hardware obsolesence on the A1000,
is this a legitmate fear?
(there must still be alot of A1000's out there)
what types of hardware will become/is the hardest to find?
(Disk Drives are compatable, what about mem expansion, genlock?)
2) Dealings with mail order houses for hardware,
good quality (shipping, etc) and quick service ( < 1 month) ?
(there must have been something posted earlier)
That will do for now. For those who would like to respond in detail,
what I am really looking for is a purchasing plan to equip my A1000
first with things that are hard to find and put off the easier stuff
till later. "Things" here also include manuals and software in
addition to hardware.
