If anybody gets any good information on a VAX-11/810, please let me know. Armando Stettner DEC UEG decvax!aps

Did I read that correctly? Someone from DEC wanting "information on a VAX-11/810"? Perhaps this is a sly way of announcing a product. I, for one, can state categorically that I have never heard of an 11/810. Bob Rosin, BTL, Lincroft

>From what I've gleaned in the literature the VAX-11/810 is a
product of the soon to be announced DEC/AT&T merged corporation.
I think it's a 3B-52 n processor bomber using DEC's new network bus and
Western Electrics's truck batteries or it's their 32 bit microprocessor
alarm clock that can be microprogrammed to go off either once or twice a day
at 8:10.
hope I've been some help,

Bob Rosin: My inquiry was one made in jest. Someone on the net had sent out an item requesting information on the VAX-11/810. I thought this article was amusing (as I did the rumors of the VAX-11/580 before the 750 announcement). Who knows; maybe I am a sadist (enjoying all the confusion). So I thought I would add to the fire. I am sorry. I would think that if there were a new VAX processor on the brink of announcement, I would know about it. My item was not a sly way of announcing anything, but rather a round about way of saying "there is no such animal"! Since I was misunderstood, let me say it here for the record: There is no such thing as a VAX-11/810. Armando Stettner DEC UEG decvax!aps
