[comp.sys.amiga] 500, 2000 in stock and anxious to sell

mlandis@nmsu.CSNET (12/22/87)

I just returned from a visit to my local Amiga store, and thought I might
pass on some information that might be of interest. Ihave seen many people
complaining about the availability of 2000's, and I thought someone might
be interested to know that the shortage does not seem to exist in Las Cruces,
New Mexico. My dealer has 10 2000 machines sitting on the floor (and about
twicw as many 500's) and Commodore just informed them of another shipment on
the way for a dozen more 2000's and 500's. My dealer is anxious to move these
machines, and they informed me they will ship Next Day Air to anywhere in the
country. They would really be interested in talking to people about the
1000 upgrade, they are trying to get 1000's for testing purposes. (Sorry, but
I don't think they will consider the buy-back deal, but who knows) I didn't
ask about prices, but I get hardware and software from them atr about 25%
discount for everything they sell. You'll have to discuss prive (oops, price)
with them though. Don't know why they are blessed to get more 2000's than
they want (they are 1 of the top 10 Amiga dealers in the country, [what? in
Las Cruces, NM?])

Here is there number and address, call them if you are interested. They
promise they can get you a machine before the end of the year.
