I have been reading bits and peices about the "virus" for months
now, and am still relatively unclear as to exactly what it is. I
figure its a worm program that places its seeds on a disk and
at some future time these sprout and corrupt the disk.
As far as I can tell I have never come accross this virus, and
since it now appears their is a second generation I am a bit
curious. I once wrote something like this in college, just for
fun.
In an earlier posting it was indicated that the first virus
maintained a generation count. Can anybody tell me what the
highest generation counts are? An average? A list of data?
It would be interesting to try to figure out much pirateing
goes on via this data.

It seems to me that the moral of the story is
"Don't steal software"
But surely many people who did not steal any
software were hurt as well.
Happy New Year,
Wade.
