[go ahead, make my day] My A1000 serial port was disabled by a self-destruction modem this summer (it transmits, but doesn't receive). I figured it *had* to be a blown 8520, but after swapping the 8520's inside, my Amiga worked the same as before. Q: what other peices/parts are candidate's for replacement? (I ordered a set of A1000 schematics from CATS in August, but am still waiting by the mailbox) Any ideas would be appreciated, as life w/o downloading is a drag. -Robb +=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-++=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+ |Robert Pfister Digital Equipment Corp || Home | +------------------------------------------------++---------------------------+ |Email: Pfister_Rob%Dneast.dec@decwrl.dec.com || Rfd#3 Box 2340 | |Enet: Dneast::Pfister_Rob || Waterville, Maine 04901 | |Werk fone: 207-623-6925 dtn: 271-6925 || (207)-873-3520 | +=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-++=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+

This is U6L, located just being the right rear corner of the RAM/ROM tower. These can be had at your local Radio Shack... -- George Robbins - now working for, uucp: {uunet|ihnp4|rutgers}!cbmvax!grr but no way officially representing arpa: cbmvax!grr@uunet.uu.net Commodore, Engineering Department fone: 215-431-9255 (only by moonlite)
