[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga PROLOG

nj@ndmath.UUCP (nj @ a loss) (12/23/87)

Hello...

I seem to recall someone kicking around the question of whether or not there
is a prolog available for the Amiga. If someone has a summary of
the prologs available, or if anyone has any info, please email me at either
...!ucbvax!mica!nj or ...!?pur-ee, rutgers, uunet?!iuvax!ndmath!nj. (I don't
know how fast news expires on this machine, and I won't be reading comp.sys.
amiga very often.) p.s. I'm on a telenet connection from an IBM 370, so
some of the characters in the latter address may have screwed up. Those
should be braces around pur-ee, rutgers, uunet.

At the end of Sterling and Shapiro's The ART of PROLOG, they announce
Wisdom Prolog for the Amiga, Mac, and Msdos mchaine. (Excellent book, I
thought!) Recently, I got an announcement in the mail from MIT Press that
W. Prolog is really available for the Mac and Msdos OSs. No mention
of the Amiga.

I've tried their Email address with no success. This is the only full-time
full-powered Prolog for the Amiga I have heard of, and it propbably
isn't available.

On a related topic---BYTE has a review of a SmallTalk system in C for Unix.
I hope someone will port it to the A.
