Prolog seekers: I posted a query some time back about the availability of Prolog for the Amiga. Finding no such thing available, I have successfully ported a late version of the University of Edinburgh's C-Prolog (written originally by Periera) to our favorite machine. The results are pleasing. Although the C code is pretty grotesque, the system is fast & robust. (I can send benchmarks to those interested). C-Prolog is Clocksin & Mellish standard, near-identical to Arity & Quintus Prolog. The code is not mine to give away, but I have written to Edinburgh to see if they are willing to distribute it, or let me distribute it. Last time I checked, they wanted 100 pounds sterling for C-Prolog for VAXen (includes source). In the best of all worlds, they might even let me give away at least the binary on a disk of our friend Mr. Fish. But this may be over-optimistic thinking... We shall see. If you are interested in a copy of this code, please drop me a few electrons, and I shall keep you posted on the development of arrangements with Edinburgh. - Eric Gullichsen ARPA: egullich@ads.arpa USENET: ...sun!well!ambient Free-agent software mechanic currently consulting for ADS.
