I thought somebody might enjoy this. These are the binaries only, alpha test versions of net and telnetp. You run net in the traditional way, then invoke telnet by: telnetp 192.5.39.1 (the host number is just as an example). No source yet, the code is too awful (hacked-up telnetp, with lots of the old stuff still inside- just to get it working). But for now you can have lots of telnet windows on your machine, which is a lot nicer than the other way of operating it. Also, you can, like me, telnet to a machine and do some Latex'ing, then ftp the .dvi file down (in the net window) without interrupting your telnet window. Much nicer. Anyway, i like even this preliminary version a LOT and thought someone else might too. Note that I hope to have a lot better version out in a week or so, but of course you never know .... To get it, just ftp louie.udel.edu, login ftp, password your name, then cd pub and get net and telnetp. Don't forget 'binary'. -- ron (rminnich@udel.edu)
