I believe that everything I am going to ask about has been discussed in the past, but I did not but I did not pay attention then as I did not have at Amiga 2000 at the time. My problem is with binddrivers, it seems that when I use bindrivers and then use shell in the initial CLI, the CLI hangs after I press return. This only happens in the original window, I can open up as many CLI's as I want and run shell in them with no problems. I am using Shell 2.08 (Steve Drew's) I have a 20 meg Microscribe drive partitioned into 2 10 meg partition I am using the A2090 harddrive interface I a have a b2000 and 2 floppies, using the standard workbench the following startup-sequence fails binddrivers cd dh0: shell Three other things. When I call bindrivers the harddisk makes a lot of noise, for a couple of seconds. Is this normal? There was also a discussion on why the B2000 does not guru. Was there ever a patch for this, and if so can I get it. Is there a Harddisk backup program around? I would like to be able to copy my harddisk to several floppies every once in awhile. I will not ask about the status of the fast file format. Well I would just like to thank EVERYONE in advance. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Since I do not post very often I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Amiga Community and Usenet people for all the great PD examples and programs that are out there, I would mention you all by name but I do not want to tie up net bandwidth that much, and I am afraid that I will forget someone. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please excuse all spelling and grammatic errors, as I am using a lousy keyboard. The fact that I do not speak the language very well, does not help matter either :-). -- FDFISHMAN (Flynn D. I remembered reports of such units so we picked up another one that would. The others in the showroom could guru also. I wonder why there are these units that do not like to meditate. We also discovered that the new keyboards (large function keys) would miss the first character typed after warm boots and does not have n-key rollover whereas the older ones (small function keys) worked fine. My friend picked the newer one, however, because the feel is much better. I have informed her about getting the keyboard fixed under warranty. Again, I wonder why there is a batch of keyboards like that. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chong Soo (Amiga nut) soo@beach.cis.ufl.edu ARPANET/INTERNET soo%ufcsg.ufl.edu@relay.cs.net BITNET soo%ufcsg.ufl.edu%relay.cs.net@wiscvm
