[comp.sys.amiga] Iconification and tiny windows.

peter@sugar.UUCP (Peter da Silva) (01/09/88)

I haven't seen Leo's "iconification" program yet, but the Tiny Window Manager
prompts me to make a few observations.

	1) Tiny windows should ideally be no higher than a title bar. That way
they can be stuck in the screen's title bar and not obscure any
	   real windows.

	2) When you shrink or grow one, the new window should open at the same
co-ordinates as the original, if possible. If you're growing a tiny
window and it's too close to the bottom or right, it's acceptable to
open the big window to the left and up.

	3) Rather than having the tiny window open by clicking in the body,
to support point (1) a grow gadget should be stuck over the drag
bar. It's easy enough to do: just AddGList it at position 0, then
	   RefreshGadgets.
