It appears site 'hpubvwa' is sending out duplicate messages all over the net. They are stripping domain info from the message-id, so <nnnn@host.site.edu> becomes <nnnn@host>. The news system thinks these are new messages, so you get to read them again. It always does seem to happen, doesn't it, that when we get a nice couple of weeks of slow news traffic over holidays, that a site somewhere decides (usually by accident, of course :-) that it has to make up for it by redistributing everything once again...
