[comp.sys.amiga] ARP cp date/time preservation

terry@deepthot.UUCP (Terry Cudney) (01/10/88)

The ARP made great improvements over the AmigaDOS utilities, but,
the "cp" command lacks some ability:
1- no directory -> directory copies.
2- date/time stamp on copied files is changed to current date/time

Some time ago there was discussion about the preference of keeping the
original file date or changing to current dates. What was the consensus?
I prefer the preservation of the original date/time to any copies.
"make" likes it better that way too.

PLEASE:
If the ARP is going to release any revisions could this issue be addressed?
