[comp.sys.amiga] UnDelete.uue

schein@cbmvax.UUCP (Dan Schein CATS) (01/10/88)

(For those who do, this lines for you!)

I posted a message a while back offering UnDelete to all those who wanted it.
Well my mailbox has since been stuffed with requests. I also noticed in recent
postings that undelete is also available on People-Link (Harv, are these the
ones I sent to Pnet02). To make undelete available to everyone (and stop the
requests in my mailbox), I sent a uuencoded copy of the 4 UnDelete versions I
have (with a short read.me file) to "comp.binaries.amiga" early last week. So
it should be appearing RSN.

The 4 versions are just modified copies of the original. Each one will copy
the deleted file to a different place. The 4 versions must all have the disk
with the deleted file in drive DF0: - the 4 devices supported for output of
the undeleted file are - DF1: RAM: VDK: VD0:

As I said in my original message - I am not the programmer of UnDelete. I found
it on a local BBS and simply modified the binary to save the undeledted file to
different devices.

I just sent undelete.c off to comp.sources.amiga. I don't know if this
is the same undelete that's going around, but it sounds like it (reads
DF0:, writes DF1:).

I am not the author. My only part in this was pulling it out of the
Amiga directory on an old (spring and/or fall '86) DECUS SIG tape.
Yes it's old, but it still works.
