I am sorry to have to pull another switch on everybody, but...It seems that the UseNet policy against commercialism is going to prevent the distribution of VI! and Uedit on comp.{sources,binaries}.amiga. So, if you have been eagerly waiting for my vi emulator to drop into the nearest VAX, I'm afraid it's going to be a bit more involved. You now have three alternatives. 1. Get it through the mail from me. 2. Get it through the mail from Rick Stiles. 3. Continue typing 'jjjjlll' into TxEd, cursing periodically. 1. Getting it through the mail from me: Send a blank disk and SASE *or* $3 to cover costs to Eric Kennedy 300 N. Dithridge, Apt 301 Pittsburgh, PA 15213 ph. (412) 681-5064 I promise the turn-around will be fast. (how long does it take to use diskcopy?) 2. Getting it through the mail from Rick: Rick is a Shareware author, and, as such, is understandably not enthused about receiving blank disks and SASE's. Uedit costs $45, which gets you the fully programmable version, (The version I'll send you is the smaller, non-programmable version) various configurations, including mine, some miscellaneous utilities, and the full Uedit manual on disk. I'm not going to extoll the virtues of Uedit here--I've already done that in a previous post, and it might be construed as more commerciallism. Suffice it to say that I think it's worth it. If you want to skip a step and order directly from Rick now, send $45 to: Rick Stiles P.O. Box 666 Washington, IN 47501 Remember, you will be registering as a Uedit user, not as a VI! user. 3. Continuing to use TxEd, cursing under your breath... See 1. and 2. Again, I am sorry for all the fuss this has turned in to. Eric Kennedy ejkst@cisunx.UUCP Author of VI!, a Uedit configuration.
