My wish is that somebody would develop a Fourth-Generation Language for the Amiga. At the risk of encouraging flames of biblical proportion, It's a shame to have to code in an admittedly powerful language like C to unleash the power of the Amiga. I keep telling myself, there has to be a better way. At work we use the Cincom Systems product MANTIS. The reports of 10-to-1 productivity gains are not exaggerated. I want the results not the hassles of debugging a 2nd/ 3rd GL that requires me to be aware of Rom Kernal routines to be able to accomplish simple task. Is anybody working on something which provides the power of the machine without the pain? Have you tried AiRT? Its a "graphical" programming language which looks like it might be suitable for writing programs which need not be overly fast or have great control over the machine. May not be powerful enough for you though...doesn't seem to have a database.
