[comp.sys.amiga] Hard Disks for the A1000

I am interested in obtaining a hard disk for an Amiga 1000 (approx 20MB).
I am aware that several SCSI disks are avaiable, is this the best way to go ?
Is a PAL a better alternative ?  Thanks in advance.
