As far as I know, that "secret room/level" is only in the C64 version of
Marble Madness which is not even based on the C source for the Amiga, it's
written in Assembler....

This has nothing to do with the guy way above talking through his hat.

I discovered yesterday that I can multitask Marble Madness with Bilbo's
Hideaway running in background. Anything else won't work so far and running
nothing won't work either. But it's no fare 'cause to get out of Marble
Madness you have to warm boot. So, I was wondering:

Has any hacker type been able to modify their beloved legitimate copy of
Marble Madness to behave like "normal" software? It is to bad EA has such a
bend toward copy protection that they don't enhance Marble Madness. What a
great game!

Dark Castle will multitask too but it includes a quit option that undoes
everything back to normal CLI, which I guess is all I'd like Marble Madness to
do.

Now, if Byte would just give me back a little money on my subscription (It's
been 3 issues since I cancelled and that leaves 3 issues to go) I'd find
something else to bitch about.

This has nothing to do with the rest of the article, but...
It _is_ a question about Marble Madness. I read somewhere that there is
a hidden level, called the 'watery race' or some such thing. Anybody
have any info on this? I've finished the ultimate race on every skill
level but 7, so my only guess is that I've got to do that. (I came
within a &*&^$!!! INCH!!!)

A new release of Marble Madness that requires Kickstart 1.2 is available.

Stuart, Stuart, don't tease us this way. Is it faster? Prettier? Better
in any way? Is EA going to charge for updates? Is it worth the
effort?

Excuse me, unless you really want to be refering to a plant, don't you want
to say something like....

"If you prick me, do I not...leak?" - Data

Just a thought.
