>shareware..... >>shareware...... People, This is getting old. Just stop it. Some of the BEST software I have is Shareware. Stuff like DME GOMF1.0 Blitzfonts. and so on.....If you keep going on "warring" if it is morale or not to pay or not to pay, then people just might not continue to develope Shareware. I've got commericial software that crashes *ALOT* and then a new release and more *crashes* and so on... BUT you have to wait ALONG time for updates to fix these bugs. For example TDI Modula.. I bought the 1.2 release and it is *TRASH* !, and I got a letter saying an update was on it's way... This was 3-4 months ago.. No update. And this was about 70 (wholesale) dollars. BUt with Shareware, the updates just keep coming and coming. Shortly after the release of DropCloth1.2 some bugs came up. A few weeks later, I saw a NEW release of it with the bugs fixed! It didn't take 6 months for the author to correct the bugs. I just saw a new release of DME (2.9) That's great! Where's my TDI modula update that was promised???????HU??? ^^^^^^^^ I think most of us use ARC... I have heard that the author received VERY little contributions for it... But most people use it daily...... That shows that most people are not so honest or they just haven't written any software(maybe).... It's not just "well, this court said this" and the law says this..." It should be "the author requests this if you use HIS work" and anyone using his software should abide by his request or discard the software.
