A friend of mine just got an A500. I brought over some stuff to get him started (the "Gold Fish" disks are just the thing! Thanks Fred!) and was showing him around the system, as it were. While showing him the five-finger trick, the message you get when you popped the disk back in wasn't there! The screen flashed as always, but no message. All the other messages are there. I didn't have my Amiga toolkit with me, so I couldn't do any examination on the ROM for comparison, but it looks like CBM modified the ROM to remove the message before too many 500/2000's got out. ..Bob [if you don't know what the 'five-finger trick' is -- never mind] -- Bob Page, U of Lowell CS Dept. page@swan.ulowell.edu ulowell!page "I don't know such stuff.
