I've gotten several questions recently about what relations I have to
other ain's here at Purdue, and about submissions to the archives. This
seems like a good time to clear both of these issues up as they are related.
submissions:
It is best if submissions are sent to the mail aliases for them
{amiga-binaries-request | amiga-sources-request}@j.cc.purdue.edu.
These aliases are available directly on some sites (arpa?) but not on
others (uucp and bitnet?).
The mail aliases are the best way to submit things in case we decide
to change who is handling submissions (currently it is me).
As for packaging of the binaries/sources,
1) we really don't care what programs you use (provided we have a copy),
2) if you send us chunks over 60K we will *have* to reshar it
in order to post it,
3) if you could keep docs, binaries, and sources separate, it would
be appreciated (although it certainly isn't necessary).

who am i:
I've been getting a lot of letters from people who submitted stuff to
ain@s.cc.purdue.edu and the mail aliases, or who are just plain wondering
if I'm related to ain@?.cc.purdue.edu.
Well, just to clear things up, all "ain" accounts in the cc.purdue.edu
domain are me -- I read and answer my mail from all of them.
However, I divide certain duties to certain accounts: J is where I handle
all moderatorizing, and S is where I "hang out" (reasons: S is faster but
J has easier mail and archive access). If you send mail to me that
requires moderator stuff (like looking at the archives or other files),
I will forward it to J and answer it there next time I log in. J is also
where all submissions are handled from.
As for my bitnet account, it is patwhite@purccvm, and I do check my mail
there once a day. Again, anything that requires moderator stuff gets
forwarded to J before I answer it.
Hope this ends any confusions anyone might have with my different
return addresses (namely, {j,k,s}.cc.purdue..edu) -- they are all me.
