ggibeau@ucqais.UUCP (George Gibeau) (02/05/88)
I am currently running a BBS system under the GT powercomm host mode. A unique feature of GT boards is the ability to do net/echomail conferences. We get around any great LD costs by using PC Pursuit (from Telenet). We currently have nodes all over the USA, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and a few others. I am sure that most of you have a local GT board near you. As a sysop, I am interested in setting up an Amiga echomail conferance. As such, any board that carries this conf would receive messages from all other boards also carrying the same conf. Ie. you enter a message on a board in California, and 1-2 days later, your message appears all over the world on any other GT board carrying this conf. I would like to solicit opinions from people to see if there would be enough interest from the readers of the newsgroup in such a conferance. I realize that it is not the high quality, easy editor usage :-) of UNIX, but it would still be interesting. Besides, there is a whole lot of amiga users (actually "are" a lot of amiga users) out there who do not have access to usenet (and yes, that still makes them human :-) ) Please e-mail me any interest in participating in such a group. Thanks, George Gibeau The Dynamic Transformation (513) 721-7977
