First:
Take a realtime flavor of UNIX as a port base. You knead that
hardware priority ya know!
Second:
Run the AmigaDos environment in a protected address space. Takes
care of applications trashing the kernel! (But not AmigaDos) Also solves the
problem of message passing by pointer. Broken AmigaDos environments turn
into a core dumps. A special heaven for programs/OS that I can deal with.
You can even have more than one Amiga! (But no realtime response can be
shared)
Shades of VMS!
Third:
Derive a devient mutated form of realtime/kernel/exec and mix.
Viola!
Achieve response unoticebly different than a real Amiga. Transparent!
Easy huh!
You can have your UNIX and eat it too! 8^)
I can feel the flames. But if anybody would like to seriously discuss
this, I would like to also! Where's my cake!
