Once upon a time ago, an article was submitted to net.general re the Software Tools Users Group. That article suggested contacting Debbie Scherrer. Well, I did, and a recording said she was no longer taking calls, and the Software Tools Users Group (STUG) could be contacted at Software Tools Users Group 1259 El Camino Real, Box 242 Menlo Park, CA 94025 I did, and received a tape order form and a couple of newsletters, the latest one dated November 1981. Apparently, the Tools tape is a set of tools like editors, library routines, copy routines, bootstrap (?), a shell (?), and others. The tools appear to be written in portable (?) Pascal. A catalog of the tools can be ordered from: Richard Keissig Intelligent Decisons, Inc. 1235-C Henderson Avenue Sunnyvale, California 94086 The distribution tape can be ordered in a number of formats, and for a number of machines, for $50 per tape, and $10 additional for any special formatting requests. I did not order the tape or follow up on any of the addresses, so I cant vouch for their accuracy. The gist of the newsletters appeared to be that they are primarily a volunteer outfit, having run out of Dept of Energy funds. I dont know if they still have an active newsletter or not.
