Greetings to anyone who cares... Just wanted to let you know that the Amiga gets a specific mention in the book "Tools of the Mind" (the five methods of mathematical thought - or something similar) by Rudy Rucker on page 170 or so. It is mentioned (along with the Mac) as a computer which is capable of accepting as input an arbitrary curve drawn by the mouse and computing the coefficients of an algebraic equation that reproduces that curve. Kind of pleasing isn't it? ttfn John -- John Hardie Physics Dept. Univ. of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, Pa 15260 UUCP: jgh2@cisunx.UUCP -or- cisunx!jgh2@ecn BITNET: JGH2@PITTVMS Goodbye Richard.
