Just my luck, I was putting the finishing touches on my zmodem receive program when... I had left my amiga 500 running by itself for a while, and when I came back I noticed that the Caps-lock light was blinking. My first thought was: uh oh I'm about to get it from a virus. After turning of the machine, waiting 5 seconds and turning back on again, the light was still blinking. Now I knew that it was worse than I had originally thought! My keyboard was broken. Has anyone had this happen to them, is there anything I can do except sending amy to Commodore and waiting for her to come back home? Everything else seems to work fine, mouse, disk drives, the only problem is I can't type anything. But that is a slight handicap for doing any programming:-) I'll be eternally gratefull to anyone who can work a miracle, or even come up with a little information! -- Frank Anthes-Harper Usenet: ....!ucbvax!decvax!uunet!mcvax!inria!geocub!anthes

Halleluja!!!! After spending 10 minutes typing in the previous message about my keyboard failure, I decided to give it one more try, and whaddaya know? It actually worked!!! I am now in proud possesion of a born again Amiga. Seriously, I still am interested in knowing what went on there, if anybody has an idea? -- Frank Anthes-Harper Usenet: ....!ucbvax!decvax!uunet!mcvax!inria!geocub!anthes
