My firm is looking into a uucp link to several of our European divisions. Does anyone in netland maintain a uucp connection to anyone in Europe ? I would be interested in hearing from the people who talk with the Australian branch of uucp. I have some basic questions. How do you get around the poor quality lines ? How about the questions of modem compatibility. 103 type modems are not used in Europe but 212's are. Auto-dialers are illeagal in a few European countries so this also has to be gotten around. Has anyone attempted to use uucp over TELENET or any of the other packet net. What are international common cariers ? jim constantine philips labs
