[comp.sys.amiga] An Apology

craig@unicus.UUCP (Craig D. Hubley) (03/04/88)

Oops.

In a previous posting, <2278@unicus.UUCP>, commenting on the mistake
of those who would trade A1000s for A500s, I carelessly implied that
John Wilkes (wilkes@mips.com) was one of those individuals.

In fact, his posting (<1708@mips.mips.COM>) simply recounted his experience
in trying to sell his own A1000. To be scrupulously fair, the original poster
steelie@pro-charlotte.cts.com (Jim Howard) was had phrased it as a question:

> Is there any SUBSTANTIAL reason to swap my Amiga 1000 with 2.5 megs
> for an Amiga 500? I have been noticing more and more companies

to which my answer is (and remains) an unqualified NO.

Having put those who agree with my point in the awkward position of having to
challenge my words (out of fairness to themselves), my foot is in my mouth
and I apologize.
