Oops. In a previous posting, <2278@unicus.UUCP>, commenting on the mistake of those who would trade A1000s for A500s, I carelessly implied that John Wilkes (wilkes@mips.com) was one of those individuals. In fact, his posting (<1708@mips.mips.COM>) simply recounted his experience in trying to sell his own A1000. To be scrupulously fair, the original poster steelie@pro-charlotte.cts.com (Jim Howard) was had phrased it as a question: > Is there any SUBSTANTIAL reason to swap my Amiga 1000 with 2.5 megs > for an Amiga 500? I have been noticing more and more companies to which my answer is (and remains) an unqualified NO.
