On page 18 of the March 88 issue of IEEE Spectrum, the "Spin-Offs" column has the heading "Create another Max Headroom", which starts a three paragraph description of Audiomaster, by Aegis Development. The article takes one paragraph to describe the use for the software, in term of Max Headroom's chopped and stutter voice. The second para names the software and tells that is runs on "any of Commodore Corp.'s Amiga computers equipped with Commodore-Amiga sound-sampling hardware." The capabilities of Audiomaster to edit and splice audio waveforms is also noted. The final paragraph provides price and point-of-contact information. Its nice to see a mention of the Amiga in Spectrum, which is both autoritative and widely read. Their last mention of the Amiga was a number of years ago, in a large article on personal computers, where they made some very positive comments on the Amiga's special-purpose chipset and the capabilities it provided. But up until now, all their short software product notes have been PC-Clone or (more recently) Mac. LT Scott A.
