Hello World! If you can't convert your own mother to the joys of Amigas, well... I have finally re-educated my mother and she sold her clone. Now we're configuring her system and shopping for moitors. The Amiga Monitor ($350?) is a bit steep. A place called S & S Wholesalers was listed in the AmigaWorld and they reccomended the Thompson 14" RGB monitor for $259; said it was better because it didn't show the flicker as badly. This was news to me, but would like to get input from people out there regarding low cost monitors. Even at $250, its too much for her. So, now I'm looking for a color composite monitor...any suggestions? I've seen the Magnavox 502 advertised (from CMO: $189) and wondered if any people out there have better suggestions/prices. I even have considered buying the RF connector for the A1000 and using a spare 19" color TV. Please understand, I'm too picky since I have the Amiga monitor. Mom's used to a el cheapo composite monochrome (green--ugh!) display so for her tastes *ANYTHING* is an improvement. Lets try E-mail first people, and I promise (yeah, right) to compile all the responses and post a summary. (Mom _was_ going to stick with mono, the thought makes me shudder...)
