Lately, I've been getting a lot of mail. I wasn't able to respond to it since I've been spending a few days back home with my parents (hi, mom). The biggest problem that people have been telling me about is truncated files. Mostly, the postings that have suffered are "snip" and "multiview." The copies we have in the archives *are* complete, so any copies anyone may have ftp'd should have no problems with them. I'd appreciate it if anyone else that may have received a truncated file (those unable to ftp new copies, in any case) would let me know via mail to one of the addresses down in the signature below, so we can, possibly, track down where they originated, and why. Please, one reply from a site is plenty (I have enough mail in my spool file already) to use to track down the problem, so if those sites with more than one person who uses comp.sources.amiga and comp.binaries.amiga can coordinate, I'd appreciate it. So far, the mail we've been getting has been pretty positive, even the complaints. Needless to say, we're overjoyed at all the feedback we've been getting, and we always want to improve, so keep the questions, comments, and war stories coming. Thank you for your support... By the way, the locked-up directories in the archies were a mistake. When he created the new volumes, Pat (y'all know Pat; y'all send him *lots* of mail :-) ) forgot to chmod them open. When confronted with this, Pat said, "Oops." In any case, the new volumes are now open and available. -- Brent Woods, Co-Moderator, comp.{sources,binaries}.amiga USENET: ...!j.cc.purdue.edu!ahh ARPANET: ahh@j.cc.purdue.edu BITNET: PODUM@PURCCVM PHONE: +1 (317) 743-8421 USNAIL: 320 Brown St., #406 / West Lafayette, IN 47906
