Hi gang,
I have learned some very valuable info from the responses
to my articles, and from talking to a broad range of people
who use/service/play/guru with Amiga 2000's. I plan to
compile and share this knowledge, but first I want to
volunteer to conduct a poll. Will everyone who has had
problems with hard disk drives on an Amiga 2000 please send
me
a) the symptoms
b) things that you tried to resolve the problem
(include things you heard about)
c) what actually worked, or if nothing worked
Briefly what I've learned so far is this:
SCSI disks are much harder to set up in the first place,
but *mostly* don't give much problems after that.
A lot of people have trouble with either ST506 drives, or
the 2090 controller, or several other devices/software
which cause disk failures.
Once again, respond directly to me at {anywhere}!sun!drh@grapevine
and I will summarize for the group. If any of you have Amiga 2000's
and DON'T have any trouble, this is just as important! Let me know
that too.
